This outspoken lady, Nawal al-Hawsawi is a qualified pilot. A black Saudi woman married to an American. She has been on the social media in Saudi to discuss issues and topics that are making her immediate environment uncomfortable, as she also studied to be a marriage therapist during her stay in America, she has been educating her followers on the need for equality and unity in marriage among other topics, which has incurred the anger of some people who feel she does not represent the true Saudi society. Oscar Pistorius to seek an appeal against his conviction



Oscar Pistorius the South African double amputee sprinter is warming up to seek an appeal against his conviction for murdering his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.
Ms Steenkamp was on 14t  February 2013 killed by Pistorius as he fired her four times through a locked toilet door.
A murder verdict was last month initiated in the case to replace the earlier manslaughter verdict which is now overturned. However, his defence team has urged the South African Constitutional Court to review the murder conviction.
The athlete is currently under house arrest according to the earlier court ruling which he is still serving.
    

The world mourns David Bowie



The renowned musician, David Bowie is dead. The singer who died as a result of an 18 months secret battle with cancer was aged 69. Bowie, whose latest album was just released last week, according to sources died in New York yesterday surrounded by his family. Following the news of his death, several sites around the world were turned to impromptu memorials for the music star. May his soul rest in peace.

Hollande leads thousands at service to mark anniversary of Charlie Hebdo massacre



As France remembers victims of the attacks on the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo and a Jewish supermarket today, the French President Francois Hollande has led thousands of people in a memorial for the massacre
Attendees to the low-key ceremony were searched by armed police before partaking in the ceremony.
