Justin Bieber sympathize with dead paparazzi

Justin Bieber has called for new laws for paparazzi following the 'tragic' death of a photographer who was run over and killed while taking pictures of the star's sportscar.

A 29-year-old freelance photographer, named by TMZ as Chris Guerra, was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday night after taking pictures of the singer's white $200,000 Ferrari in Los Angeles.

The star's friend, 19-year-old rapper Lil Twist, was behind the wheel of the 458 Italia Ferrari when it was pulled over by police - prompting Guerra to get out of his own car as he believed Bieber was in the vehicle.

The 18-year-old today released a statement in which he said his 'thoughts and prayers' were with Guerra's friends and family.

You can now have your own tail

A Japanese inventor has created the Tailly - a strap on tail for humans that wags when the wearer becomes excited.

The Tailly is fitted with sensors that monitor the wearer's pulse rate, so the faster the heart beat, the more it wags. When you calm down it swings more slowly.

He said: ‘Tailly is fun to wear to parties, while out with friends or playing with kids,’ he said.

‘You could even wear Tailly on a date and express your true feelings through the wagging tail.

'Even better, your partner could also wear one, to add a level of subconscious communication between the two of you.’

Shota Ishiwatari, who designed the bizarre gadget, is hoping the Tailly will become the must-have accessory for 2013.

Permanent cancer cure arrives

Scientists have created cells capable of killing cancer for the first time.

The dramatic breakthrough was made by researchers in Japan who created cancer-specific killer T cells. They say the development paves the way for the cells being directly injected into cancer patients for therapy. 

The cells naturally occur in small numbers, but it is hoped injecting huge quantities back into a patient could turbo-charge the immune system.

Researchers at the RIKEN Research Centre for Allergy and Immunology revealed they have succeeded for the first time in creating cancer-specific, immune system cells called killer T lymphocytes.

To create these, the team first had to reprogramme T lymphocytes specialised in killing a certain type of cancer, into another type of cell called induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS cells).

Clinton Out of Hospital

Mrs. Hillary Clinton, 65, was admitted to New York-Presbyterian/Columbia hospital on Sunday after a scan discovered the blood clot. The scan was part of her follow-up care for a concussion she sustained more than two weeks earlier, when she fainted and fell, striking her head. According to the State Department, the fainting was caused by dehydration, brought on by a stomach virus. The concussion was diagnosed on Dec. 13, though the fall had occurred earlier that week.

The clot was potentially serious, blocking a vein that drains blood from the brain. Untreated, such blockages can lead to brain hemorrhages or strokes. Treatment consists mainly of blood thinners to keep the clot from enlarging and to prevent more clots from forming, and plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration, which is a major risk factor for blood clots.
