MODE OF WORK/SOURCING JOB AS A VA

As a Virtual Assistant, your mode of operation depends on the pattern or choice you deem best to get clients. A decision to open your own business might be more interesting to you than working for another VA who might have already established.
If you choose to start your own business, it might not be so smooth in canvassing for clients and doing it alone, however, determination will pay off as this business requires you to be self motivated. There are many websites where a V.A can bid for projects and choose clients. Such sites include; Elance, Guru, and Rent-A-Coder etc. Most of these sites require only registration and updating your profile to show your eligibility for the jobs you intend to take. Although there are fees to be paid during registration, a person has option of registering without paying anything. Your work will entail awarding you projects (jobs) on those sites depending on your  own skill and unique list of services which you offer, executing the project and having your money wired to you through any pre-arranged electronic means.
As you can see, you might end up not meeting any person in the course of transacting the business. It all will be arranged from the comfort of your office/room. Other methods of sourcing for job locally is by distributing flyers and making sure people you meet are handed your complimentary card. With that, and other local means of publicity (which we will treat on a different topic), will surely attract clients.
