The
former U.S, President, H. W. Bush and the oldest commander in chief in the U.S, has been
hospitalised for the second time during Christmas period. It would be recalled
that the former President spent the 2012 Christmas
in intensive care at the Houston's Methodist Hospital, same hospital where he is presently admitted. In 2012, he was listed among world leaders who spent their Christmas in the
hospital, along with Margaret Thatcher and Nelson Mandela. Reports have it that his
current visit to the hospital is as a result of shortness of breath, which has warranted
doctors to keep him under observation. It is not clear if the former president
would be allowed to be home early enough to join family and friends for the
remainder of the celebration. It would be recalled that the senior Bush was in
hospital for 2012 Christmas while being treated for a bronchitis-related cough
and other issues. He was discharged in January 2013, after nearly two months in
the hospital. However, fans and friends have been full of gratitude to God
for keeping him alive till this day, as past leaders who were
hospitalised in 2012 Christmas along with him had all passed on.
